Yeah, yeah, I know I’m a horrible blogger. I disappear without warning, show up without warning, and my consistency is pretty much nil. I’m trying to get better at this social networking thing, I promise! Maybe if some of my readers (I know you’re out there!) would comment here and there, I’d feel a responsibility to you all, and seeing as I’m the type of person that hates letting people down, well…that might help. <G>

For example, since book 2 of my Magic Series (A STROKE OF MAGIC) ends before Alice and Ethan’s wedding, and book 3 (A BREATH OF MAGIC) starts after their wedding, I’ve considered writing a short story that covers the wedding day. I have some great ideas about it, and I’d post it as a free read…but I’m not sure how many people are lurking that would like to read about Alice and Ethan’s wedding. So if you’re one of them, this is your chance to speak up!

Speaking of A BREATH OF MAGIC, the edits and revisions are done, so now I’m waiting on the copy edits and then the galleys. I both love and loathe this time frame. I love it because the book is just about, once and for all, truly done. And I loathe it for pretty much the same reason. It’s sort of like saying goodbye to a group of people you’ve grown to love for the past many months, because yep–for me, these folks are pretty darn real. Sure, it’s a lot easier because I’m writing a series, and I’ll see these characters again–but not in the same way.

Still, it’s nice to know that the story is just about there, and that in a few (okay, 4.5) months, ready for public consumption. Yay!

That’s it for now, but I’m already working on the query letter post for Wednesday, so I definitely intend to get that up this week.

    My schedule for today:

    1. 1,000 words of a new proposal
    2. 600 words of yet another proposal
    3. Brainstorming for what I hope will turn into book 5 of the Magic series
    4. An article for a client
    5. Possibly some shopping

What’s on your agenda for today???

    Just for Fun!

Check out this list of fifteen toys NOT to buy your kid this Christmas. I gotta say…I kinda love the Tarzan toy.

    Don’t Forget!

This week we’re dishing about Social Networking over at The Novel Girls. Stop in each day to see what each of us have to say on the topic!

LOL, Natalie. You’d be the first person to read it…
